As far back as I can remember, I remember Grandpa and Grandma taking me to Church. Looking back, I realize Grandpa and Grandma are the first people I saw Jesus in. Grandpa worked the midnight shift. Some Sundays, he was really tired. I would join Grandma early in the morning, and we’d take the long bus ride to church (she never learned to drive). It’s where I learned the Gloria Patri*. And in God’s amazing sovereign grace, I learned about the One who saw me first and now I see Him everywhere. I love Jesus because He first loved me and gave Himself for me.
I see You in the sunrise**
I see You in the sunset
I see You in the moon and in the stars
I see You in the beauty
Of Your world around me
You’re in every breath I take
You surround me
You live in me
Made in Your image I am
You sustain me
Oh, how I love You
Blessed I am to be Yours
I see You in the mountains
I see You in the valleys
I see You in the forests and the seas
I see You in the beauty
Of Your world around me
You’re in every breath I take
You surround me
You live in me
Made in Your image I am
You sustain me
Oh, how I love You
Blessed I am to be Yours
You gave Your only Son
To die upon the Tree
To forgive me of my sins
And set me free
To You I’ll always cleave
as I pray on bended knee
May others see
May others see
May others see
You in me
“Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen”.*
**One of these days, I hope to share the tune 🌻
